Copyright

Copyright

There is no specific copyright exception but some could apply to material that has been published that way or as hard copies. You must consider whether the material has been put on the Internet illegally. There is so much material that has been put on the Internet without permission of the copyright owner. Any other use of this, including downloads, is likely to be illegal too. However, you must consider “fair dealing’. This is when the material is being used for a teacher or pupil for educational purposes.
This might relevant for:
• Non-commercial research or private study, relating to a student who downloads and uses material in his or her own work. However this doesn’t apply at all to recording of music or films.
• The purpose of criticism, review or reporting. This does not allow a photograph to the copied for news reporting.

Our trailer

When choosing our sound effects we need to make them relivant to the horror genre and specifically to our tailer. Running in leaves would be a good sound effect for our tailer as we are basing our tailer in the woods, therefore there will need to be a lot of running sounds and ambiant noices.

Music is very important in a trailer or film and especially the horror genre. If you muted a horror film and watched it, there would be no fear factor. This is because the music builds up the tension and enhances the noices you hear. During the jumpy sence the music will become loud and sudden to make you jump.
