Theatrical Poster

This is the theatrical poster for our film "Hidden" again created by using lots of layers on Photoshop  this poster is the main one so it needed to be really eye catching ,effective and strong. This poster is there to tell the audience some of the story ,give you ideas about the plot and vital information about the film. We tried our best to make this poster the most complex with the right sort of image and including the right information. To start we darkened the eye by using the burn and highlighter tool to make it more horror like , then we added the image in the eye which is infact this image from the trailer.

This is a very j horror type of thing to do and its similar to "The Grudge" and "The eye" posters . After this we layered the caravan which is one of the shots from our location shoot, then in Photoshop we used the "darken" blending tool to give it this effect as it matches the dark color of the eye and tells the audience where the trailer is set . Next we layered in the the billing form we created , the casts names along the top also in the same text as the billing form to make it connect, the "Hidden" film title which is also the same font but we made it taller and spaced it out more. Then added the sub heading which is our film slogan which is featured on other of our texts.  Lastly we added the sun and film 4 star ratings which we created by using the star shape paint brush ,these ratings are on many film posters so it made ours more professional and also gives the audience a hint that other people think its a great watch and may persuade the viewer.

After showing the class the theatrical poster they were really impressed and thought they were really effective and horror like, they couldn't suggest anything to change but pointed out some missed spelling mistakes, these were then corrected and the final correct copy can be seen below.

Billboard Poster

This is our billboard poster, again created using Photoshop. To create this we have used layering image and text, to start we darkened the eyes and drained the color of the image to make it more horror like, then we added the image you can see below which is a shoot from the trailer into the mail images eye,

I then gently used the rubber and burn tool to make it look more effective , we think this its worked really well it looks spooky and has quite an impact. Next we added the title which is the same font as the billing form , then the cast list alone the top of the poster and then inserted the billing form, to finish i added the star raitingds which can be seen on the other posters also. we are really proud of this poster and believe it is just like a horror/slasher poster.

Once showing this to the class for feedback they couldn't see anything to make it better apart from correcting the few odd spelling mistakes which we have corrected and the results cant be seen bellow,

logos

Once deciding which sort of style logo we want to create we used Photoshop to create a variety of logos to then decide which ones best, as ours was set in a forest we used tress on many of the logos to fit in with the location of our horror trailer. we made many different logos using two of the 3  colors related to "hidden productions"  and the same font as we used in the billing form for the posters. After creating we decided which one was best, below you can see all  the different logos.

This is the logo we choose to use.

Monday 11th Feb - Final edit

In todays lesson we focused on the ending as we wanted it to look professional and more realistic. We added an extra bit in from our original footage to cover up the jump that was between the clips. We now just need to add our own company logo onto the beginning of the trailer, we feel as far as the edit is concerned it is complete.

Editing lesson Monday 4th Feb

In this weeks lesson we added in transitions between clips to make them flow better and make them smoother. We also added in music and sound effects which allowed us  to emphasise our clips and make the feel of the trailer more scary and creepy.
