Monday 11th Feb - Final edit
In todays lesson we focused on the ending as we wanted it to look professional and more realistic. We added an extra bit in from our original footage to cover up the jump that was between the clips. We now just need to add our own company logo onto the beginning of the trailer, we feel as far as the edit is concerned it is complete.

Editing lesson Monday 4th Feb
In this weeks lesson we added in transitions between clips to make them flow better and make them smoother. We also added in music and sound effects which allowed us to emphasise our clips and make the feel of the trailer more scary and creepy.
Poster (Landscape)
This is the first edit of another poster we decided to try:
We decided to also make a poster that was landscape so it would be more appropriate to put onto billboards for advertisements. We experimented with another picture that was a close up of the caravan to see if that would work better. This time we dimmed some of the colour too make the picture look gloomier, this gives an unsettled feel to the poster.
Once we had created this, we experimented with it on a website called 'Face in Hole'. This is what we created:

Lesson - Editing Monday 28th January
In todays lesson we have been working on cutting down our rough cut as more as a fine edit. We cut the clip down and took of 15seconds which helped loads! Above are two pictures of us cutting and editing our clip in todays lesson.
Poster
This is the first edit of our film poster.
Here are some screen shots of the editing:
We edited the photo to black and white and then brought the colour back on the caravan. This is so your eyes are draw to the caravan and makes the viewer want to know whats so important about it. We also took a photo off the internet of a man in a hoodie. This was so we could edit him into the caravan window. We chose not to make it too obvious he was there so kept it fairly dark.
The font is bold and easy to read because we didn't want to make the photo too over the top with lots to look at.
On the second edit of this we could include some star ratings and actors names.
Here are some screen shots of the editing:

Monday 14th January
In todays lesson we put some transitions between our clip breakers. We looked for music on youtube and we have also found and added the trailer intro screen to the front of our movie. We have also added the coming soon section to the end.

Lesson: Monday 7th January
In todays lesson we edited the rough cut copy of our trailer. We managed to get the time down from 3 minutes 20 to 1 minute 48. In the brief the trailer has to be under 2 minutes. We did this by cutting some clips down and also splitting the clips and taking parts out of them and moving them around.
